Kenya - Uganda Photographic Tour

Starting in Nairobi, Kenya, you’ll dive headfirst into the adventure, beginning with a visit to Nairobi National Park, where the city’s skyline serves as a backdrop to your wildlife encounters. Delve into the world of elephant conservation at the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and get up close to the endangered Rothschild Giraffe at the Giraffe Centre. The tour then takes you to the iconic Amboseli National Park, home to vast herds of elephants and offering breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll also explore the unique culture of the Maasai people, adding a cultural dimension to your wildlife experience.

Day 01 NAIROBI

Upon arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you are met by King Simba Kenya Tours Ltd Staff and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at your lodge/hotel.

Day 02 NAIROBI

After breakfast depart for Nairobi National Park for a morning game drive. Recently we have had very nice sightings of Giraffes and Rhinos with the city background. There after visit Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Later visit Giraffe Centre to see the endangered Rothschild Giraffe. Lunch at Karen Blixen Tamarind Restaurant. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 03 AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

After Breakfast depart for Amboseli National Park by road ( 4hrs) arriving in good time for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon depart for game drive at the Amboseli National park. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 04 AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter depart for half day game drive at Amboseli National Park with a chance to see Big Herds of Elephants with young ones and wonderful view of Mt. Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). Lunch at the lodge. Evening enjoy another game drive. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 05 AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy early morning game drive at Amboseli National Park. Breakfast at the lodge. Thereafter visit Maasai village to learn about their culture. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon enjoy game drive at Amboseli National park. Dinner and Overnight aal at your lodge.

Day 06 ABERDARE NATIONALPARK

After breakfast you will be transferred to Amboseli Airstrip for your morning flight to Nairobi Departing at 0815 hrs (35 minutes). On arrival at Wilson Airport, you will be met by King Simba Kenya Tours driver guide and depart for Aberdare arriving in time for lunch at Aberdare Country Club. Check in and store your big luggage at the club. You will later be transferred by lodge shuttle with overnight bags to the Ark. Here you will enjoying watching animals drinking water, wallowing in the mad and salt licking at a natural salt lick next to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 07 OLPEJETA CONSEERVANCY

After breakfast at the Ark, transfer by lodge vehicle to Aberdare Country club. On arrival meet with your driver guide, pick up your big luggage and depart for Sweet waters. On arrival enjoy game drive at Olpejeta Conservancy. Lunch at your lodge. Evening enjoy day game drive at the Olpejeta Conservancy. Chance to see Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras, Impalas, Lions, White and Black Rhinos, Gazelles among others including a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 08 BUFFALO SPRINGS NATIONAL RESERVE

Enjoy breakfast at the Camp. Thereafter depart for Samburu arriving in time for lunch at your lodge(3 hrs). Afternoon enjoy game drive at the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 09 SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart for half day game drive at Samburu National Reserve in search of the Samburu Five (Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy Zebra, Gerenuk, Oryx, Somali Ostrich), Elephants among others. Lunch at your Lodge. Afternoon game drive at Buffalo Springs Reserve, Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 10 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Breakfast at the Camp. Later transfer to airstrip for your morning domestic flight to Maasai Mara. On arrival at Maasai Mara you are met by Lodge staff and transfer to lodge. Lunch at the lodge. Evening enjoy game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 11 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunches in search of Big Five and the Wildebeest Migration. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 12 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Depart for early morning game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast free at leisure. Lunch at the lodge. Evening enjoy game drive at the National Reserve. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 13 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Enjoy early morning game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve(Optional Hot Air Balloon Safariame drive ). After breakfast at Ashnil depart for Mara Serena with a game drive en route. Lunch at your lodge. Evening enjoy game drive at The Reserve. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 14 MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast depart for a full day game drive with picnic lunches in search of Big Five and the Wildebeest Migration. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Day 15 Uganda Extension – ARRIVAL FLY TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy early morning game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast transfer to airstrip for your morning flight to Entebbe via Kisumu. On arrival at Entebbe Airport, you will be assisted through immigrations by our meet and greet personnel and after all the formalities, you will take an afternoon scheduled flight from Entebbe to Kasese, on arrival, you will meet with your guide and then drive to Kibale National Park; while driving, you will pass by tea plantations along the way. Time allowing, you could explore the crater lakes nearby or visit the local communities and get to learn more about their way of life, culture and traditions. Otherwise spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Day 16 – CHIMPANZEE TREKKING FLY TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will you will go for Chimp tracking and enjoy a wonderful forest experience. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is home to 13 species of primate including chimpanzees. The park’s highest point is at 1590m(5217ft) above sea level. The forest has one of the highest diversity of primates in Africa totaling 13 species including the Black and White colobus Monkeys, Blue Monkey and Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed Monkey, Bush Babies and Pottos. Thereafter you will drive to Kasese Airstrip and fly to Kihihi Airstrip, on arrival, you will meet with your guide and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

This fascinating mountain forest hosts chimpanzees and spectacular birds. There are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon and other beautiful forest species. You shall go to bed earlier this evening, since you should be fit for gorilla trekking the next day.

Day 17 GORILLA TREKKING

This morning you will get up early and go for the upcoming gorilla trekking. Trekking the Mountain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours but it is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas.

Day 18 – FLY BACK TO ENTEBBE AND DEPART FOR NAIROBI

After breakfast, you will transfer to Kihihi Airstrip and fly back to Entebbe enjoying the beautiful aerial view of south western Uganda, the hills and thick vegetation as well as the farming practiced by the locals. Afterwards you will arrive at the airport and catch a flight back to Nairobi. On arrival at Nairobi you will connect your onward flight back home.
